Symptoms of the Disease Course in Birds
Image for Symptoms of the Disease Course in Birds In wild ducks: unusual behavior, moving in circle, twisting of head, absence of reaction on the environment, then death.

In geese and ducks (domestic): nervous phenomena—lack of coordination of movement, swimming in circle, tilting of the head, circular movement of the head with a jolt, neck deformation, absence of reaction to external irritants, refusal to eat or drink, hypochondria, circus movement by ducks. Respiratory phenomena – sinuitis, discharge from nostrils. Conjunctivitis, aglia and blindness. Diarrhea.

In chickens: in young species—peracute course without any evidence. In adult chicken nervous phenomena are expressed far less weak than in waterfowl; head tilting is noted among several species. Heat, hypochondria, disheveled feathering, loss of appetite. Cyanosis of skin, especially in the area of eyes, feet and stomach, swelling and blackening of crest and wattle. Diarrhea, yellow-green feces. The elder hens die more often.

When detecting clinical features of the birds’ disease, people must immediately inform local veterinary service in order to carry out the selection of pathmaterial from the fallen fowl, clinically ill, recovered birds and those who came in contact with them.
